A meeting was held for the inauguration of new directors of several undergraduate programs; Fernando Moscoso, vice president of our branch campus in Cuenca, presided the meeting and assigned Luis Tobar as the director of Economy; Fabian Cuesta as the director of Business Administration and Fernando Solorzano as the director of Pedagogy. Gilberto Brito was appointed head of the human resources department.

Luis Tobar, who shortly ago was the university's general vice president, said economics is a program with high demand in the country because an economist is in charge of managing issues related to planning and decision making of a company's financial area. It is a profession that really makes a difference.

Fabian Cuesta, said his actions will be based on joint work between professors and students since they are the university's fundamental reason for being.

Fernando Solorzano, said he will work to get the program more related to real social and educational contexts and have professors include more practice in class based on new educational strategies.

The new directors are motivated to start working and are sure that team work will lead the way.
