The university council named Vladimir Robles Bykbaev the new Head of the postgraduate programs department for the 2022 – 2027 period. 

Vladimir Robles holds a Doctorate degree in Information and Communication Technologies, has worked as a professor and was the director of the computer science undergraduate program. He has constantly supported several research projects that have helped people in vulnerable populations, especially people with disabilities, through the UNESCO chairs program on assistive technologies for inclusive education. 

The university’s postgraduate programs department seeks academic development and excellence. It currently has 38 master’s degree programs and one doctorate program in computer science, the first in the city of Cuenca. 

Juan Cardenas, president of Universidad Politecnica Salesiana, acknowledged the work carried out by the postgraduate programs department and wished Vladimir Robles the best of luck.
