The university's electrical engineering major in Cuenca held a course on the application of ArcGIS in electric distribution networks. The course was given by Diego Morales, specialist of the SIGDE project, Fabian Larriva and Santiago Fernandez de Cordova, both from the electric company.

The course was aimed students and professors in electrical engineering, attendants were able to learn more about the ArcGIS software and design layouts for electrical distribution networks.

The speakers explained that nowadays electric companies require the use of this system for presentations and for them to be able to provide the permits needed for any type of design and construction.
