Professors from the biomedicine undergraduate program and researchers from the biomedicine engineering research group in our branch campus in Cuenca attended training sessions at Labtech International in Batam, Indonesia. 

Professors and researchers Cecilia Villa, Pablo Salamea, Pablo Cevallos and Teo Freire Bastos learned more about the new machines the university will purchase for the its new laboratories.

The equipment includes: an incubator, an infusion pump, a defibrillator, a gas system for use in medical areas, a ventilator, ultrasound equipment, EEG acquisition equipment and an electrosurgical unit.

The new laboratories will help carry out new projects that will strengthen academia.
