On November 16th, Father Jorge Molina visited UPS-Cuenca as part of scheduled visits to Salesian works in Ecuador. The aim is to meet with members of Salesian works in the country and talk to them about the activities being carried out in order to fulfil Don Bosco´s mission statement with the young and vulnerable areas of society.

He first visited the university president's office and met with all the staff who work in this department. Father Jorge Molina explained that UPS professors and workers must always keep in mind that being Salesian means working together as a family and creating a positive alternative for the development of young people, since they are the priority of every Salesian work.

UPS officials talked to Father Molina about the projects they are currently working on as well as future ones such as regularizing academic programs, internationalization of the university through student and professor mobility, indexing journals to SCOPUS and a culture of planning and assessment in the university.   UPS General Vice President Luis Tobar highlighted the effort made by all university workers nationwide in getting the accreditation of UPS-Quito and Guayaquil.
