Electronic and computer engineering students, members of the Computer Society (facebook: @CS.UpsCuenca) and the IEEE branch in Universidad Politecnica Salesiana in Cuenca (facebook: @IEEE.UPS.CUENCA), attended the 21st edition of the IEEE ROPEC Congress held in Ixtapa, Mexico. During the congress, the students presented their research which will later be published in IEEE Xplore digital library. 

The congress was attended by students, professionals and researchers from all over the world in order to present new ideas in the field of technology.

The annual congress is organized by the IEEE western section, Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), Instituto Tecnológico de Morelia (ITM) and Centro de Investigación e Innovación. 

The students who attended the congress were: Doménica Merchán, Alejandro Enríquez, David Morales and Bryam Vega, who are majoring in computing, and David Moscoso, who is majoring in electronic engineering.
