Students presented 150 projects during the 2016 Projects Competition

The electronic engineering, computer engineering and mechatronics majors in Cuenca organized and held the 16th Projects competition where participants presented their best projects which they have worked on during the last semester.

This contest is held every year and shows what students have learned. At the end of the day, the jury selected the best project, while the electronic engineering director congratulated all the participants.

The winners were:

1st place in basic category: Diego Chiluisa, Efraín Ortega and Boris Peña with the project "Sistema de aprendizaje mediante estimulación sensorial (SAMESCOP)"

1st place in the advanced category: David Guzhñay with the project "SAB-Sistema asistido de aprendizaje en braille."

While this competition was taking place, the university also held the 3rd UPSCON Engineering Conference where several speakers gave talks on electronics and systems. Students presented their projects and papers during this conference, Bryan Abril and César Vicuña won first place with their project titled "Sistema indicador de esfuerzo muscular en físico culturitas" (a system that indicates a bodybuilders muscular effort)
