The book "Sabores de Roma" was presented in the First International Symposium on gastronomy

A few days ago, the book "Sabores de Roma" which was guided by UPS-Cuenca professor Pedro Carretero was launched in Spain during the First International Symposium on Flavors from Rome; an event about ancient Rome's gastronomy.

The book is the result of research carried out by Santiago Montero and Fernando Notario, from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, all the research collected for the book was revised by Pedro Carretero. 

The aim of this book is to disseminate information on ancient Rome's gastronomy, how the food was transported, how it was produced and about the people who inherited these traditions. Several researchers from around the world attended the event.

Pedro Carretero said the book will help people who like cooking new and different recipes.
