The electricity undergraduate program in our branch campus in Cuenca held several activities to celebrate its 27th anniversary. One of the activities was a business lunch that representatives of the electricity program got together with representatives of public and private companies to discuss possible contributions. 

There were also several conferences led by experts in the field; participants updated their knowledge on different topics related to research and technology in this field.

 
A special and formal ceremony was held in the Leonidas Proaño Auditorium with the participation of university officials, professors, students and special guests. Fernando Moscoso, vice president of our branch campus in Cuenca welcomed everyone to the ceremony and congratulated the electricity undergraduate program on its 27th anniversary and all the work they have done in benefit of students. 

Marco Carpio, director of the undergraduate program, spoke about the history of the program, its beginnings and achievements during these 27 years and its plans for the future. He thanked university officials for all their support and awarded Juan Cardenas, UPS president, a recognition for his support to the program.
