UPS inaugurated the course titled "Buenos Ciudadanos y Sistema Preventivo" (or Good Citizens and the Preventive System) for 181 professors from this institution. Classes will be taken virtually through the university's platform for salesian courses.

The aim of this course, which is organized by the university's virtual and distance education department, is to strengthen Christian and Salesian significance in UPS professors. The course will be guided by pedagogy professors and supported by international teachers.

The university considers "Salesianity" part of the university's officials' and professors' integral education, therefore it promotes activities to reflect on the meaning of preventiveness in the current context and how to combine the "preventive system" with new demands within the activities of higher education professors.

The course began on March 1st and will end on May 31st. It is a 120 hour course that is divided into 3 modules, one per month. The second version of the course will start in May.

This virtual study mode demands participants to work cooperatively in all activities and share their academic experiences with fundamentals of reason, religion and kindness, which are pillars of Don Bosco's preventive system.

This course is part of the university's activities to strengthen continuing education for its professors by developing "Salesian Identity".
