The Higher Education Council awarded UPS Quito and Guayaquil approval certificate

On September 17th, the Ecuadorian Assessment, Accreditation and Higher Education Quality Assurance Council (CEAACES) awarded UPS President Javier Herran the documents which certify that UPS-Quito and UPS-Guayaquil passed all its improvement plans in academia, infrastructure and management.

During a public ceremony, held at IAEN, CEAACES President Dr. Fransisco Cadena thanked and congratulated the 31 university extensions for all the effort they have done to pass this process.

Six university extensions did not pass the evaluation and will not be able to enroll new students, they will however work so that their current students finish their studies.  According to information from the higher education council, there are 47,904 students belong to the universities that passed the evaluation.

Mónica Peñaherrera, Holger Capa, Enrique Santos, Francisco Cadena (president), Fernando Espinoza, Nelson Medina and Mariana Lima Bandeira, members of the Evaluation Council attended the ceremony.
