Sebastian Palacios, Ministry of Sports, visited our branch campus in Cuenca and took a tour of the premises in order to plan sports activities to benefit students and athletes from the province of Azuay. He held a meeting with UPS president Juan Cardenas to analyze the possibility of signing an agreement to work on several projects related to sports; projects which are aligned with sustainable development goals and people's integral development. Juan Cardenas stated that "for the university sports is a very important activity for the entire community"; while Sebastian Palacios said that "it is important that universities help encourage self - confidence and team work skills through sports activities. The university premises include a grass soccer field, a synthetic grass soccer field, basketball courts, athletics track, crossfit area, martial arts training room, a gym and a coliseum.
