The university's pedagogy major in Cuenca organized a refresher course for UPS alumni as well as for people from other institutions in the field of pedagogy.  The course was held virtually and on campus.

During the opening ceremony, the university's vice president in Cuenca, Cesar Vasquez, welcomed all the attendees and also asked faculty directors to continue the process of professional development.

The course was led by UPS pedagogy professors and some of the topics were:

-    Evaluation of learning, by Fernando Moscoso
-    Learning problems and psychology of adolescents, by Gerardo Guerrero
-    The digital era, emerging pedagogies, digital competencies of professors and students in the 21st century, by Fernando Solorzano
-    Curriculum planning, by Mariana Carrillo 

Attendees were pleased with the course and the topics which allowed them to update knowledge that will improve their performance at work
