From the 2nd to the 5th of March, thirteen students who major in communication and are members of the Utopia Salesian Group in Quito held a meeting in the city of Atacames, Esmeraldas to plan this year's activities.

The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the development of communication competencies and work on a plan and integration activities. This group is currently carrying out three projects, the first is titled "Notas de un bibliotecario", whose aim is to promote literary dissemination with a Hispano-American perspective. It highlights the contribution of national writers, reviews and comparisons with contemporary books to analyze social problems

The second project is titled "Cine Utopia", which is considered an alternative means of dissemination that connects inhabitants from the city of Quito and the university community. The films they show are about communication topics, society and daily experiences. And the third project is "Café Utopia" which disseminates current topics on science and technology. Furthermore, this is a place to disseminate information regarding the university's research centers.

Some of the skills these students have are: social responsibility, integration, leadership, problem solving, crisis management and project planning. The experience gained by students in these salesian groups enriches the processes of human and professional education from the perspective of the salesian charisma. The meeting was led by professor Grace Benalcazar and Daniela Moreno.
