Members of the StartUPS team visited the university's branch in Guayaquil in order to strengthen innovation at UPS; this visit was part of the StartUPS plan to visit the university's three branches in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil. 

The StartUPS team, made up by Fabian Bermeo, an external consultant of the StartUPS project, Belen Soriano, coordinator, Fernando Solorzano, mentor of the innovation ecosystem, and students met with members of the communication and culture department in Guayaquil to create alliances and share information in several fields. "We have to value these meetings in order to create true innovation, UPS students in Guayaquil are very open and I am sure they will take part in these projects", said Cesar Andrade, director of the communication and culture department. 

Meanwhile, UPS students in Cuenca who are part of the StartUPS communication team gave talks in several classrooms to encourage innovation in the university. "Students are very happy and this is the first of many visits to come", said Belen Soriano.
