Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (UPS) President, Juan Cardenas, presented the university’s strategic plan in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil. The plan will run from 2023 to 2027 and it includes proposals and projects for academia, as well as the university’s values and policies which benefit the entire university community.

The aim of the strategic plan is to promote new programs in technology, postgraduate degrees, continuing education and certified courses which meet current social needs and the university’s mission statement. 

 
The plan also seeks to strengthen staff’s skills. The document contains four strategic lines aimed at the operation of the organization’s mission, vision and objectives in the fields of teaching, research, community engagement and pastoral. 

There were several meetings held with directors of undergraduate programs, research groups and secretaries; the meetings were attended by Father Juan Cardenas, UPS president; Fernando Pesantez, general vice president; Angela Flores, academic vice president; Juan Pablo Salgado, head of research; Vladimir Robles, head of postgraduate programs; and Tatiana Rosero, head of community engagement.
