The university's theater group took part in a theater festival organized by the culture department of the Municipality of Loja. The theater group presented the play "Dicen las paredes" by Ailyn Morera, who was the winner of the best playwright from Costa Rica in 2009. 

The play is based on a true story about the problems faced by Gabriela regarding the relationship with her parents and her husband. 

The scenography was in charge of Jorge Adrian Mendez, director, five actors, an assistant and students from different majors.

Gina Ordoñez, who is in charge of the culture department in the municipality of Loja, was thankful with the university and congratulated the actors and actresses who took part in the play. 

Jorge Adrian Mendez, was also pleased with his students who showed their acting skills and talent. He thanked the organizers for the invitation and the university officials for all their support, as well as the people who attended the show
