Grupo de Danza y Música Folclórica, fueron reconocidos en México

The Ecuadorian Dance and Music group from UPS- Quito represented the country and the university remarkably well in a cultural festival held in Querétaro, Mexico from the 10th – 26th of October, 2014. 


The UPS representatives in Mexico were made up by the dance group with 16 students and its director Jorge Sanchez; the music group led by Johnny Sánchez, and Doris Herrera, the communication and culture director. 


The group performed in public plazas, schools, neighborhoods, and municipalities where people enjoyed the group's great dance and music skills. The group was awarded several prizes after visiting and performing in Querétaro, Guanajuato, Alpaseo Alto and Tarandacua.


During 16 days the Mexican public enjoyed and learned about the cultural diversity in Ecuador thanks to the group's performance, which was planned with great professionalism and hard work.
