50 students from our branch campus in Guayaquil took part in the first meeting organized by the “Voluntarios en Acción” Salesian Group in order to strengthen human values and salesian identity. 

The aim of the group is to work on social initiatives through several community engagement projects with communities, public and private high schools and the Don Bosco Green Alliance program. 

“This group continuously supports the university’s academic and social projects. We constantly need new people to support our cause”, said Victor Iza, coordinator of the group.  
  

Johan Mendez, professor of the university’s pastoral department, stated that students are not forced to join the group, it is absolutely voluntary. “This group motivates acts of kindness in our campus”, he said.
