UNESCO chairs encourages research through a new issue of "Juventud y Ciencia Solidaria" magazine

The UNESCO chairs assistivive technologies for inclusive education presented the 18th edition of the magazine “Juventud y Ciencia Solidaria: En el camino de la investigación”. There were two ceremonies; one held in Cuenca and the other in Guayaquil. University officials, students and teachers from different high schools attended. In Cuenca, there were high school students from: Hermano Miguel – La Salle, Daniel Córdova, Técnico Salesiano, Sudamericano, José María Velaz and Bilingüe Interamericano. These students were the authors of the articles published in the magazine.  


 
The event began with a speech from Father Juan Cardenas Tapia who encouraged students to continue doing research and writing articles, since it is important to share the knowledge you acquire. Xavier Merchan spoke about the 16 articles that were published in this issue, he praised the work carried out by students and congratulated them for writing about current topics and social problems. 


 
Juan Daniel Naranjo Zamora, student from Unidad Educativa José María Velaz, spoke about his personal experience on research and writing. Students were awarded recognition certificates for their articles to acknowledge their contribution to the world of knowledge. 


 
Promoting research among young high school graduates is essential for the development of critical and analytical skills, which are essential elements for their academic and professional growth. Through research, students not only acquire knowledge, but also become active agents in building solutions for the social and global challenges of the future.
