Universidad Politécnica Salesiana took part of Universidad de Cuenca's Open House titled "Connecting the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem" with original and innovative projects. 

During the exhibition UPS presented its NAO robot; NAO danced, introduced himself, explained his activities in the IEEE branch, told everyone that he will accompany children with cancer in SOLCA hospital, and said he would do whatever it takes to support UPS students learning process. 

The University also presented the fighting robot Makanakuk or warrior, which has been awarded at several national competitions for its fighting skills. The purpose of having this robot is to stop clandestine animal fighting. 

Here are other projects that were presented by UPS:

•    Climbing robot-  it has a camera and is able to climb metal structures that are hard to people to get to. 
•    Sonsee robot- Artificial Intelligence to support education

•    Avatar system- Software that analyzes human body movements; it is aimed at biomechanics to support sports.
