UPS General Vice President highlighted the progress of UPS-Guayaquil

UPS General Vice President Luis Tobar, PhD, led the conference titled "The Vision Ecuadorian Universities and an Analysis of UPS", where he analyzed the economic aspects which currently characterize our country's economic situation and also the development of the university in the last few years.

"Due to the current economic situation in the country, the university has cut expenses. However, its investment in laboratory equipment and in the construction of a new building in UPS-Guayaquil continue according to planed", said Luis Tobar.

He spoke about the importance of the university for young people and said UPS is constantly preparing in the research field since it is a fundamental element in education.
On the admissions processes, he said "for next semester admissions will not take 6 weeks, they will take only 4 and candidates will learn about the university's vision and we will assess the knowledge they have to start university", he said.

On the growth of UPS-Guayaquil, which shows significant development compared to other universities in the city, "the evolution of UPS-Guayaquil is surprising, this period there will be about 8,000 students. It is worth mentioning that the university has not just increased its number of students but its quality education which is important to meet our commitment of providing excellent education, he said.
