Daniel de la A,  a Social Communication student at UPS-Guayaquil won the "I TOURIST SHORT FILM FESTIVAL AND CONTEST" that was held last December 1^st in the Simon Bolivar Cultural Center.

Daniel was the absolute winner of the festival with his short film titled "THE ROUTE OF THE FISHERMAN" (LA RUTA DEL PESCADOR). Daniel was up against some big competitors like the Social Communication Faculty from FACSO, and important audiovisual production schools from Guayaquil.

Renowned actor Roberto Manrique was the host of the ceremony, and the judges were:  Jorge Mori, Tourism Director of Guayas; Johnny González, representative of the Ecuadorian and North American Center (CEN); Phillip Klees, Official Distributor Go Pro cameras; Fernando Aroca, Film maker; Karla Villamar, Make Ecuador Tour Operator Manager; Mónica González, Miss Guayas; and Michel Escobar, Tourism Assistant director of Guayas.
