Our postgraduate department regularly offers free academic webinars on current topics so that professionals can update their knowledge in several fields. The latest webinars were on: "International Financial Reporting Standards" and "Leadership". 

Participants who attended the webinars also learned about the postgraduate programs which are currently available for 2021. Diego Peñaloza, head of postgraduate programs, stated that the webinars provide participants updated knowledge so they can improve their skills. 

Leadership

This webinar was organized by the MBA program and held on February 18th. It was led by Felipe Buitrago, business expert and coach, who spoke about the importance of education in order to understand changes in today's world. 

"In companies, it is fundamental to have brand ambassadors, people who are loyal to the organization. Therefore, we need to treat our workers well. We must transform our working environments and prioritize our workers".

Financial standards

This webinar was organized by the accounting and auditing master's degree program and held on February 19th. The speakers were Jaime Subia and Cristina Trujillo. 

Cristina Trujillo, legal representative of TC Audit, spoke about the IFRS which enable accounting professionals to have a common and updated language on accounting based on economic changes. 

Jaime Subia spoke about auditing as a strategic partner for companies based on five factors: control, evaluation of risks, control activities, information, communication and monitoring. 

The following events will take place on February 24th: at 6pm there will be a free workshop on "Internet of things", and at 7:30pm a webinar on "Improving productivity in industrial operations".
