Our university annually takes part in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings which includes universities around the world and evaluates them according to 13 indicators that measure their performance. The indicators are divided into the following areas: 

•    International perspective: international staff, community engagement, students and partnerships in research

•    Teaching: Learning environments nationally and internationally

•    Research: impact, earnings and reputation

•    Citations: influence of research

•    Knowledge transfer

The World University Rankings 2023 includes 1799 universities from 104 countries, our university ranks 1501+ worldwide and is third along with 4 other universities in Ecuador. 

UPS is also ranked in the Young University Ranking 2022 and currently ranks 401+1 worldwide and is second out of eight universities in Ecuador. 
Our university will continue to work hard in order to increase its academic level and have continuous improvement throughout the university community.
