On September 2nd, UPS-Guayaquil officials, professors and administrative staff held a meeting to learn about the results from the last evaluation carried out by the Evaluation, Accreditation and Higher Education Quality Council (CEAACES, in Spanish).

UPS President Javier Herran was officially notified that UPS-Guayaquil was one of the highest scoring universities in the evaluation and that it was accredited once it complied with its improvement in Academia, Infrastructure, Management and Institutional Policies. 

Father Javier Herran proudly shared the university's achievements in technology, academic level and infrastructure with everyone in the university and asked everyone to keep working hard in benefit of the university. To end the meeting, the people responsible for these results were awarded plaques to acknowledge their work: Javier Herrán (UPS President);  Andrés Bayolo Garay (UPS-Guayquil Vice President), David Mora Bocca (Administrative director), Wendy Luna (Community involvement director), Walter Márquez (Planning and evaluation Coordinator), Ángela Flores (Academic Director) and Fabricio Escorza (Human resources director)
