UPS representatives presented the fields of study available at this university to high school students

From the 12th to the 14th of January over 10,000 students from public and private high schools in Quito participated in the 2nd fair titled "What should I study", which is organized by the "Yo que sigo" company, the Ministry of Education and the municipality of Quito.
Students from 200 high schools attended this event, held in the Parque Bicentenario convention center, and were able to learn more about UPS's academic offer which includes 20 majors in the areas of administrative sciences, science and technology, social sciences and human behavior, education sciences and life sciences. UPS representatives also presented two majors that will be available next semester in "Sur" campus, Telecommunications and Mechatronics.
For three days, professors and students presented the fields of study available at UPS; they spoke about the professional's profile and working context, they also explained some of the research projects.
Representatives from the Psychology major asked students to take some tests in order to learn more about their skills and the major that would suit them best, professors from the management and leadership major presented entrepreneurship projects.
German Arevalo, director of the telecommunications major, and some students explained what this new major is about and showed attendees how optical fiber wireless transmissions work.
Representatives from the environmental engineering major and the Ecology Club explained one of their projects to build a potable water plant, while students from electronics and automation presented a robot.
