UPS research on Indigenous Autonomy was published in the LACES academic journal

Professor Pablo Ortiz Tirado, director of the management for local sustainable development major and director of the "State, Social Movements and Territories" Research Group at UPS, has just published the paper "El Laberinto de la Autonomía Indígena en el Ecuador: Las Circunscripciones Territoriales Indígenas en la Amazonía Central 2010-2012" in the Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic Studies journal (LACES).
LACES is an interdisciplinary Scopus academic journal, which focuses on the issues about ethnicity , race relations and indigenous people . The journal is based in the Center for Iberian and Latin American Studies (CILAS ) , University of California, San Diego. After rigorous peer review, the article received the approval of the academic committee. The text summarizes the results of his research carried out for more than three years in the provinces of Napo and Pastaza.
LACES is published by the renowned publisher Routledge / Taylor & Francis based in Britain. Dr. Ortiz is also part of the Group of Social Researchers on Indigenous Autonomy in Latin America, whose members are experts from Canada (York University, University of British Columbia) , United States ( University of California, University of Texas) , Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM ) and Ecuador ( Universidad Politécnica Salesiana ) .
