Diego Morales, a researcher for the Energy Research Group (GIE) at UPS, attended the IEEE Chilecon 2015 Congress which was held in Universidad Central de Chile and presented his paper titled "Proposal and Requirements for a Real-Time Hybrid Simulator of the Distribution Network".

Diego Morales presented his research to several experts and explained the work done at GIE to determine a methodology oriented to the implementation of a real time simulator with distribution networks of mid and low tension. He also explained the process needed to obtain technical and geographical information from Matlab/Simulink. He added that this methodology was developed along with research institutes from France and Argentina.
 

 The Congress on electrical and electronic engineering, information and communication technologies, which was organized by the IEEE Chile section along with the IEEE Southern Cone countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile) was held in order to disseminate recent research results in the fields of electrical, electronics, computing, industrial and biomedical engineering.
