Paola Ingavelez and Vladimir Robles, UPS professors from the faculty of computer engineering, and UPS student Jonathan Vargas who is majoring in automotive mechanical engineering attended the VII Meeting on Disabiliites and Human Rights and the IV Meeting on Inclusive Higher Education, which were held in the University of Valparaiso,, in Chile.

Both professors presented the following papers: Propuesta para el desarrollo de un sistema de seguimiento académico y un ecosistema inteligente para el soporte en la inclusión de estudiantes con discapacidad en la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana – Ecuador", and La situación de Ecuador: Presentación de experiencias de inclusión educativa superior". While Jonathan Vargas took part in a meeting organized by the Latin American University Network, made up by Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brasil, Colombia, Nicaragua, Panamá, México, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Perú y Chile.

UPS representatives also presented the paper: "Enfoque inclusivo y accesibilidad en Educación Superior", which is based on the experiences of several Ecuadorian universities on research done to benefit people with disabilities.
