UPS strengthens relations with Spanish universities

In order to improve the university's academic and research activities, UPS continuously strengthens its relations with Spanish universities. In this regard, it is curently preparing a Master's in Cultural Management, and Dr. Blas Garzón Vera carried out some activities which were aimed at strengthening relations and working out actions to develop a very high level Masters program.

He first met with Dr. Francisco Ollero, the director of the master's degree in "Art, Museums and Management of Historical Heritage", from Universidad Pablo de Olavide. This university currently has an agreement with UPS to provide academic support for the Master's in Cultural Management. He also met with Rosario Lopez Ruiz and Martha Jimenez Lopez from the Foreign Relations office from Universidad de Sevilla to discuss possible exchange programs for professors and researchers for postgraduate studies.  

Dr. Garzón was also able to meet with the Board of Scientific Research from the Escuela de Estudios Hispano-Americanos, where he explained his doctoral research. This research center has a library that specializes in Hispanic American studies in the city of Sevilla, where there is also one of the most important centers where they keep records of Latin America's historic studies: El Archivo de Indias. This meeting with Juan Marchena and Nayibe Gutierrez Montoya was also to formalize the integration of professor Garzon as a member of the Academic Evaluating Committee for "Hispania" journal, as well as other research networkds in Latin America and the Carribean. 

Finally, the Vice President of Universidad Pablo de Olavide Dr. Bruno Martinez Haya awarded Professor Garzón his PHD degree in Latin American History with the highest grade distinction: Sobresaliente Cum Laude. Blas Garzon thanked the UPS authorities for all their support.
