During the 3rd Meeting for Rectors and academic coordinators of Catholic Universities in Latin America and the Carribean, Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (UPS), Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL) and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) signed an agreement in order to create the “Red de Innovación Educativa Interuniversitaria del Ecuador” (inter university educational innovation network).

The agreement will enable universities to work together to create an ecosystem of educational innovation which can become a benchmark nationally and internationally. The network will enable members to share their knowledge and practices regarding educational innovation and sustainable development.

The aim is to strengthen the following areas: Reading, writing, entrepreneurship, social responsibility, values, and therefore reinforce educational and research processes that will benefit the university community and society.

It is worth noting that the universities also signed a cooperation agreement for scientific research that will enable higher education institutions to work together and encourage research, training and knowledge transfer.
