2020 Graduate Global Korea Scholarship

The National Institute of International Education (NIIED), a government institution from the Republic of Korea, annoounces its call to the "2020 Graduate Global Korea Scholarship" (GKS) program, aimed at Ecuadorian citizens interested in postgraduate studies or research programs. 
 
AREAS OF STUDY
 
Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Arts, Medicine, Physical Education, Interdisciplinary Programs, and others.
 
Note: The candidate must select three universities from those available within the "Type A" and "Type B" categories, must necessarily select at least one university from those included in the "Type B" category.
 
PROGRAMS
 
- Master’s degree- 3 years
- PhD- 4 years
- Research program (post doctoral or exchange professor) – 6 months to 1 year
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
 
1. The candidate and his parents must be Ecuadorian citizens.
 
2. The candidate must not be over 40 years of age as of September 1, 2020 (Candidates with birth date as of September 1, 1980 are accepted). If the candidate is an acting teacher, the age limit is 45 (Date of birth as of September 1, 1975).
 
3. The candidate must have completed his undergraduate, master's or doctoral studies, or nearing graduation (until August 31, 2020).
 
4. Have a minimum average of 80/100; 2.64 / 4.0; 2.80 / 4.3; 2.91 / 4.5; or 3.23 / 5.0.5. 
 
5. Be in good physical and mental health.
 
THE SCHOLARSHIP INCLUDES:
 
- Round trip tickets 
 
- Full enrollment (including language studies).
 
- Single contribution for installation expenses (approximately US $ 180).
 
- Monthly contribution for living costs
 
- Masters and Doctorates: approximately US $ 820.
 
 - Research Programs: approximately US $ 1,365.
 
- Contribution for research
 
- Programs in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences: US $ 190 per semester, approximately.
 
- Programs in Engineering and Natural Sciences: US $ 218 per semester approximately.
 
- Reimbursement of thesis printing costs.
 
- Medical insurance (approximately US $ 18 per month).
 
- Single contribution per graduation (approximately US $ 90).
 
- Monthly contribution for students who reach level 5 or 6 on the Korean proficiency test (TOPIK), during the duration of the program (approximately US $ 90.00)
