The university’s journals Sophia. Colección de Filosofía de la Educación (Q2); Retos. Revista de Ciencias de Administración y Economía (Q3) and La Granja. Revista de Ciencias de la Vida (Q4) are part of the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) 2022 which measures the quality of the publications based on the number of citations and considering the importance or prestige of the journals where the citations come from.   

UPS continues to establish itself in the most important research portals in the world. This new achievement is the result of the efforts from editors-in-chief, associate editors and authors of the scientific journals, along with the General Edition team and the university officials.

We pride ourselves on being leaders in the production of scientific research in Ecuador with three journals within the SJR and we will continue to work hard to further improve these positions in the future. Our journals are proof of the university's commitment to academic excellence and high-quality research.
