Our branch campus in Quito held a special event, organized by the students’ well being department, to acknowledge students who have the best grade point averages as well as the beneficiaries of an academic scholarship. The event was attended by Floralba Aguilar, academic coordinator; professors, university officials and students’ family members.

During the event students were asked to share their thoughts on the following questions: What study strategies have helped you achieve good performance? What difficulties have you had to face and overcome in your educational process? What elements are important to have a good academic level? What do you recommend students who are having academic difficulties? What characteristics should a teacher have in order to support students’ learning process?

They said that some of the things that have helped them in the university are: detecting moments of difficulty when they need help, punctuality, being organized with their time and enjoying university life. They also mentioned camaraderie and respect, as well as teachers with vocation and open to dialogue.
