The industrial engineering undergraduate program in our branch campus in Guayaquil, with the support of the Chamber of Industries in Guayaquil, held a conference on positive actions for industrial promotion in Ecuador.

This event is a key stage where experts have shared fundamental strategies to promote industrial development in the country. Daniel Caamaño, professor, stressed the importance of student participation in this forum. "This is an opportunity to work alongside the public sector, making our academic knowledge available so that students can apply what they have learned for the benefit of society".

With the support of the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries, there was a talk on "Management Systems for Industrial Plants". Mónica Arteaga, general manager of “Estrategias S.A.”, provided participants management methods from equipment and materials to the supervision of production and industrial maintenance. She said: "the talk made it possible to unite academia with production and the public sector in order to establish guidelines on issues of safety, production, environment and quality of different products".

These meetings demonstrate the importance of cooperation between academia, the productive sector and the government to promote industrial development, addressing key issues that impact the economy and citizens’ quality of life.
