The Microsoft group at UPS-Cuenca, along with Microsoft Ecuador and the university's students' federation –FEUPS, officially launched Windows 10 nationwide. 

Microsoft Ecuador officials, university officials, professionals and students attended the ceremony which was held in one of the university's auditoriums.

UPS President Javier Herran said that education does not only mean getting a degree, it means creating something like Windows 10, products that that will be recognized worldwide and help society.

Andres Andrade, head of the Microsoft group at UPS, invited everyone to take part in the group which is recognized worldwide.

Jorge Galan and Mateo Lopez, members of the group, presented all the characteristics of Windows 10 and the reasons for using it, which by the way ican be downloaded for free by the university community. One of the features of this system is that it has a virtual assistant called Cortana, it is the first operating system that has voice message dialogues. 

In the afternoon, people were given the new operating system to install.
