The closing ceremony of the 2015-2016 sports competition organized by the UPS-Guayaquil workers association (ADAUPS) and the physical education department was held on January 31 in the university's sports complex.

On that day, professors played the finals of basketball, soccer, chess, table tennis and swimming. Professors from Colegio Domingo Comin also participated. "It's more than a sports competition, sports is there to get people together" said Victor Emilio Estrada, organizer of the event.
