El  There were a total of 84 photographs, 58 from UPS-Quito, 25 from UPS-Guayaquil and 1 from UPS-Cuenca, taking part in the VII National Competition for the university notebook book cover for the March – October 2016 period. The photographs were based on respect for life and nature and displayed students' concerns about the environment.

The winning photographs which will be published in the following 2 university notebooks were chosen by Luis Alvarez, Hernan Hermosa, Marcelo Farfán and David Jara, a professional photographer.

First place winners get $200 and special recognitions $50.
