On April 12, the students federation at UPS-Guayaquil (FEUPS) held a talk on industrial safety and occupational health for students of all majors.

The aim of the talk was for students to learn more about the basic aspects of occupational safety and health which are currently being demanded by the Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Public Health and the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute.

Jose Reyes, business consultant on industrial safety and occupational health topics, said that young people are fundamental in the talk, "we want information to be understood through the mind, that security is a value, not a task to be done", he said.

The topics of the talk were: "introduction to industrial safety", "risk factors" and the "Ecuadorian legal framework". "these events are very important so that students can learn about relevant topics" said Jaime Bajaña, secretary of FEUPS.
