On July 6th, the university's branch in Quito held yet another graduation ceremony for 95 students who majored in electronic engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, computer engineering and management and leadership.

The ceremony was presided by UPS president Father Javier Herrán, the university's vice president in Quito Jose Juncosa and the academic coordinator Patricio Benavides.

Jose Juncosa told students to work hard each day be innovative and not to forget salesian principles and values. Father Herrán said "As professionals you may feel the weight of responsibility that sometimes discourages the desire for change, which leads us to be conformists because the solutions seem difficult, but it is in our hands to influence the reduction of human pain, so that there are more young people with opportunities to make college better. This is a noble, dignified and arduous task for a UPS professional"

German Arevalo and Cecilia Barba, directors of electronic engineering and environmental engineering respectively, also gave a speech. Maria Eugenia Guerra and Santiago Guerra Guevara had the best GPA of their class and gave a speech on behalf of their classmates.
