UPS professor and researcher Maria Veronica Di Caudo, also the coordinator of the Education and Interculturality Research Group- Grupo Investigación Educación e Interculturalidad-GIEI at UPS-Quito, took part in the XXX Congreso Latinoamericano de Sociología-ALAS. Pueblos en movimiento: un nuevo diálogo en las Ciencias Sociales which took place in Costa Rica from November 29th to December 4th. 

Professor Di Caudo participated in the debate titled "Intercultural students in the Ecuadorian university. Public policies, scholarships and inclusion"

On the 3rd and 4th of December she also attended the conference on "Higher education and indigenous communities" to share her experience on intercultural education and discuss the challenges they have to face in higher education institutions.
