The article "Pedro Lemebel revelación y rebelión en sus crónicas desde el margen" written by Professor Fernando Checa Montúfar will be published by la Revista Palabra Clave, a journal on the field of communication and its relation with society from Universidad de La Sabana, Colombia.

The article is about research done on Chilean writer and activist Pedro Lemebel's chronicles published in his book "Loco afán" Crónnicas de sidario".  The study analyzes the chronicles that reveal the dark side of society through an etnography of the daily life of outcast Chilean homosexuals who question coloniality and biopolitics in an unfair, racist, patriarchal, homophobic and disciplinary society like the one in Chile in the era of Pinochet and then in democracy.

This research is part of bigger project, from his doctoral thesis, on the chronicle of Ecuador and Latin America which analyzes how this genre developed in the XIX century and the start of the XX century.

Professor Checa Montufar was invited by the social communication major at UPS; he received his master's degree at Universidad Andian Simon Bolivar in Ecuador and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Michigan in the USA.
