The book "Jóvenes pobres, abandonados y en peligro. Una categoría de Don Bosco desde la Teoría Crítica", written by UPS professor and researcher Vicente Plasencia Llanos was launched on January 20th as part of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of Don Bosco's birth.

The author intends to redefine the term "poor youth", remember injustice, appreciate young people for what they are, transform poverty and develop quality education to free the young.

Jose Juncosa, director of the UPS Abya Yala pubishing house said the book is a great biography of Don Bosco and his educational Project which shows that the salesian project continues.

Professor Holger Diaz congratulated the author and said the book expresses the practice of freedom.
