UPS-Cuenca professor and researcher, Arturo Peralta Sevilla took part in the 3rd WorkInnova 2014 held in the city of Medellin, Colombia and won second place for his poster "Methodology by Optimal Scalability over FiWi in Smart Grids using Multistage Stochastic Programming". The project is on a new methodology made up of four stages that aims to achieve optimal scalability in wireless fiber networks; the project is part of Arturo´s doctorate thesis. The article was written by Arturo Peralta with the assistance of Roberto Hicapie and Ferney Amaya.

The event was organized by Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and its Communication and Information Technology Faculty. Universities from Colombia, Denmark, Brazil, Panama and Ecuador, as well as companies, attended the event to discuss photonics and encourage technological solutions to relevant problems in society. 

Arturo Peralta thanked the University authorities for their permanent support so that professors and students can take part in international events and present the work they carry out at UPS.
